Q.
What were you doing before the Oxford
Program and what are you doing now?
A.
I was working for AT&T as a Customer
Service Representative, just having
graduated two years ago with a BA of
Science in Telecommunications Management,
when I started to feel discontent towards
my career choice. I was in the same
position for almost three years, doing the
same thing, yet yearning for something
more meaningful in my life. I needed a
career with more purpose, inner
fulfillment and self-expression of my
unique qualities and talents. I decided I
wanted to do something else, but didn't
know what I wanted to do with the rest of
my life, or what my unique qualities and
natural talents were.
I
started looking for something that would
help me discover my natural talents and
match them to a meaningful career/job.
I searched the internet and came
across
The
Oxford Program.
I called and spoke to Oxford
Program founder, Steve Bohler, who
explained how joining T.O.P. would not
only help me discover career options but
also my unique combinations of gifts and
talents.
I
am now currently pursuing a Masters Degree
in School Counseling to become a
successful guidance counselor, which will
make use of my talents, skills, meet my
interests and fulfill my passion of
helping kids succeed in school and in
life.
The Oxford Program helped me
discover everything I was looking for and
more!
Q. Are
you happy you made the decision?
A. Absolutely.
I
now feel like I have a sense of meaning
and purpose in my life.
I have a better understanding of
who I am and how I’m hard-wired
personally.
I know my natural abilities,
skills, values, interests, goals, family
origin, and passion.
I also have a strategic personal
vision statement to serve as my guide
through life.
Q. Any
other advice?
A.
Just do it! My favorite quote is:
"There comes a special moment in
everyone's life, a moment for which that person was born. That special
opportunity, when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission, a mission for
which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment, he finds greatness. It is
his finest hour."
- Winston Churchill

"Books
and articles
I've read
have been
just pieces
of the
puzzle with
no
direction. I
did the
entire 'What
Color is
Your
Parachute'
book in
'95, |
|
| then 'The Pathfinder' in 2002, then went into
real estate...bad choice! I think these books made me more
confused than I was to start with. Your
program is
more focused
on adults and made
all the
difference.
Thank you! Thank you!" |
